I've been active with the Fox Valley Computer Professionals group for about the last eight months. We are preparing to roll out a web application we've been developing and are now working on expanding our group out in the Fox River Valley. I will be demonstrating Drupal as we install and build our own Drupal site on January 14th. You city folk are welcome also.

I just wanted you all to know I haven't been idle these past couple of Meet-ups. I've been working hard to promote more attendance and interest in CDMUG and the Chicago Drupal Community. (Picture from the Data Sharing Summit... read on)

I attended a meetup of the West Suburban PHP Meetup on August 2nd, the topic was PHP Security. We did a little bit of promotion for this on a couple meetup groups and some of the PHP forums. It was pretty successful for this new meetup with signups of 12 people (7 showed).

I think there is good interest on this important topic for beginner to advanced user. It could be a good one for us to promote Drupal to a wider community.
