g.d.o High Performance Group
This group is dedicated to solutions and approaches for high traffic, high performing Drupal sites. As such, it will deal with a lot of information around the rest of a typical Drupal "stack" -- the operating system, web server, database, and PHP tweaks that combine to support the Drupal application.
I found this group while researching for tips about Drupal and Cloud Computing.
Clean URL .htaccess configuration
Successfully, I spent the last day trying to enable Clean URL's on a Drupal 5.7 remote server (media temple (dedicated virtual). I want to thank all CDMUG members who pulled together with me to investigate this by phone, email, and IM. Im walking away from this with a new appreciation for linux guru's and the ssh command line. With that said - Im going to provide a 5 step hack to enable Clean URL's. I'd only try this hack as a last resort; I put a few links below that have more tips on the subject.
Step 1. Download this x.htaccess file

Drupalcon Boston: Sold Out
Drupalcon 2008 at the Boston Convention and Expo Center is officially sold out. It's no surprise to me though, I saw 180 tickets at $200 a piece sell over this last weekend. This twice-yearly gathering of Drupalers discussing and advancing Drupal while networking with each other is a can't miss. It would be great to know the home locations from all attendees - I imagine every corner of the world will be represented in Boston! The last conference was in Barcelona - I wonder if that sold out?
Marketing and Business Conference Tracks
