Duo Consulting opens doors at 6:00pm for attendees to arrive, socialize, and hang out before meetups. We try for presentations to officially start by 7:00pm. Comment your RSVP with full name and bring photo ID to gain authorized access to Duo's office downtown.

Maksim Pecherskiy started with Drupal about a year ago focusing on site building and development. His mobile expertise comes from doing a lot of work with MobileAnthem, a Chicago based mobile marketing company. He is now working on building full mobile web application for AllPlayers.com, his current employer. (They're hiring).

Chris Calip is a web developer. He has a passion for learning new skills every year. Last year was cooking -- a most tasty experience. This year is boxing—it has been bruises-and-groaning experience so far this year.

The Chicago Drupal Meet Up Group is proud to present at least two featured presentations about the hottest Drupal topics each month. We have room for 75 people and all skill levels are welcomed. If you are brand new to Drupal we recommend attending one of our free monthly training workshops.

Maksim Pecherskiy will be presenting ... Mobile Web Development with Drupal...Today's website must deliver a tailored experience to the mobile web user that utilizes the unique capabilities and contexts that are available on his/her device. This session is about creating such experiences.

Chris Calip will be presenting ....CDN + Drupal = FAST....a recipe for D6 modules (advagg, cdn, css_emimage, and parallel_css) that helps you speed up your website, particularly if it is multimedia heavy (ie. images). Keep in mind the Website Performance Golden Rule: Only 10-20% of the end user response is spent downloading the HTML document. The other 80-90% is spent downloading all the components in the page. The presentation will only briefly talk about techniques to speed up HTML document generation (boost,varnish), but will focus more on all the components in the page.
