Job Title: DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT
Description: JuicedHybrid.com is the first supplier of parts and accessories to the expanding alternative fuel vehicle marketplace. We are looking for a talented business minded individual to be a part of our team of successful entrepreneurs. We are currently angel funded and expect to close our first round of financing in the next 90 days. This is an equity position until funding and you will be a founder.
This position is responsible for all aspects of the software development process including the creation and design of new features and site architecture components, as well as working with the CEO to ensure that the product and development efforts match the business initiatives of the company. Strong management and business skills are required as well as advanced technical skills.
Alternative Vehicle Market
Hybrid and alternative fuel vehicle parts and accessories have experienced 900% market growth during the past decade, and it is forecasted that more than 11% of all vehicles sold in 2009 will be hybrids. Consumers are more cognizant of gas prices and their environmental impact than ever before. Fifty-five percent of new car buyers in 2007 are considering hybrids for their next vehicle purchase. According to R.L. Polk registration data, approximately 10.5 million alternative fuel automobiles are currently on U.S. roads. The ubiquity of alternative vehicles is imminent.
If you have:
- Mastery of object oriented design, design patterns, and programming skills (Java & .NET)
- Development experience with highly parallel, multi-tiered web and database systems.
- Proficiencies in object modeling, data modeling, web service and UI design.
- Presenting the company’s technology vision to potential and existing investors.
- Minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
- Extensive eCommerce solutions design and deployment management.
- Created and executing e-commerce applications, data management and web 2.0 functions
- Worked for a consumer products company in a technology capacity.
- Start-Up and early stage company experience.
- Desire to work and thrive in a fast-paced, unstructured, entrepreneurial organization with the ability to accomplish goals in a lean environment.
- Strong analytical skills
Education: Master or Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or related field
