Now at the top of the page you can see a link to the chat room. I setup a chat room within cdmug.org for multiple reasons. Mainly I wanted a place for people to chat if they could not attend a meet up. I plan on leaving the chat window open during all future meet ups so that we can communicate with members at home/work/sick/vacation/where ever.
I have been playing with phppfreechat for a few months. It is pretty cool free software and even has a specific module for Drupal. The setup is a bit different than traditional Drupal modules. There are Drupal module files that you install, but then you also include the phpfreechat software that is separate from Drupal. The key to making it work with Drupal is using phpfreechat version 1.0 beta 9. NO OTHER versions will work properly. Once you get the hang of it, everything works out great. You are required to create a new content type for the chat rooms. I setup the content type called "phpfreechat". Now when you go to create content, there is an option for phpfreechat. So it is very easy to include multiple chat rooms within one site by creating endless "phpfreechat nodes". A super cool feature is that the phpfreechat developers included a bunch of commands similar to IRC's syntax. A simple "/help" command within the chat window will open up all sorts of cool options.

Hello matt, i just wanna ask , are there any phpfreechat`s button show up on your drupal site ? and how to fix it ?? thanks before
Looks great, I like that links open in a new tab, the ding/alert sound when a new comment is posted, and the tabs [2] count in Firefox when I'm in a different tab/window.
