We've had a very busy summer at the Chicago Technology Cooperative, culminating in three different launches within the last week.
First up, we launched a redesign of our own site. It's a simple Drupal 5 site incorporating our new logo and color scheme, as well as showcasing the newest sites we've worked on this summer.
Last week we deployed "phase 2" of Vocalo.org, the social networking and community media site we built for Chicago Public Radio. There were a lot of behind the scenes improvements as well as some interface enhancements.
This weekend we finally launched Chicago Ancestors, the Google map mashup of thousands of historical records that we created for the Newberry Library. I've demo'ed beta versions of this site at past CDMUG meetups.
We've got some new projects coming up as well: a new site for the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless, an online exhibit of Aztec art, a political blog site for New Hampshire Public Radio. Also, we'll be spearheading development - along with some help from Matthew at onShore - on the new citizenpowered.org site sponsored by the Green Street Project and the Mayor's Office's Community Building Initiative.
Hope to see you all at the next meetup!

I remember the great demos you showed off for Chicago Ancestors. The site seems to be a great utility. I searched for my house and found three homicides happen in the 1920's.
citizenpowered.org seems to be an interesting project. I plan to put in some time to help out as best I can. Hopefully soon we can post a link on cdmug.org for all to see. :)
