I just wanted you all to know I haven't been idle these past couple of Meet-ups. I've been working hard to promote more attendance and interest in CDMUG and the Chicago Drupal Community. (Picture from the Data Sharing Summit... read on)
I'm glad to report some progress on it. It looks like Jeffery Fillian and Dave Ross are taking me up on my suggestions to attend this months Meet-up. I understand Dave is interested in sharing a presentation on PHP Security with our group and swapping some time for us to talk about Drupal at the West Suburban Chicago PHP Meet-up group in the future.
Sorry I have to miss this one, but I will be beating the drum again tonight at the Silicon Prairie Social event in Lisle. They expect to have about 350 people involved in "web 2.0" (buzz and such) to make an appearance. I hope to meet some more people with interests in open source projects like Drupal and PHP.
Some of you also know I have a keen interest in the work going on with Identity Commons and their efforts toward developing livable standards for digital identity and data sharing on the internet. (OpenID, embedded in Drupal 6.0 is one small component of this.) I also hope to have some discussions with people tonight about this topic.
I recently returned from the Data Sharing Summit in the SF Bay Area. I will also be attending the next Internet Identity Workshop in Mountain View CA in December.
If anyone is interested, I would be to talk about these topic in more detail. Sorry for all the links, but more is better, isn't it?
