Panel of about 10 users will summarize "Drupal in 1 Minute". Matthew Lechleider will provide insight to the magic of Drupal user groups, CDMUG, and how to participate in your local community. Plus everyone's favorite Drupal user Dries Buytaert will be speaking about "Lessons learned from the road". Catch up on the latest news following Drupalcon, CMS Expo, and enjoy the company of brilliant people from all over the Drupal community.

One week after Drupalcon Chicago, we will be discussing/recapping what we learned, thought, and hope to share with our community. At the same time, down the street, Civicon took place in Chicago and we have Young-Jin Kim from Emphanos to provide a summary of what we missed. Plus Young-Jin will be doing an introduction to CiviCRM. In addition, CDMUG rock star Andy Martha converted cdmug.org into Drupal 7 and lived to tell the stories of upgrading from Drupal 6 to Drupal 7.

Michael Carney - opened MWC Accounting in 2009 after spending 5 years in public accounting. He provides entrepreneurs and small businesses accounting support and assists in the development of relevant financial information to help them understand where their business stands.

Drupal 7 is ALMOST here. To celebrate at our January meetup, Matthew Lechleider will start with an Introduction to Drupal 7.

Matthew Lechleider - is a product of the Nintendo Generation. He has spent 10 - 15 hours online every day since before the Internet was cool. He enjoys speaking at conferences, skateboarding, music festivals, Linux and Drupal.

CDMUG is having our 4th annual Holiday Open Source Social Event to get together without the laptops, projectors, and WiFi too simply hang out and party. Join us all for a fabulous shin-dig in honor of every CDMUG member and the efforts we make to give back to the Chicago community.

November will be our last meetup of the year with presentations. December is a slow meetup month and will only be our 4th Annual Holiday Open Source Social Event. 2011 will be an extremely exciting year in Chicago Drupal as we will be the host city for Drupalcon. During November meetup the Drupalcon Chicago team will be giving a presentation of what to expect and recruiting volunteers.
